How to work (P3tog, Yo, P3tog) into the same 3 sts.Pattern
1. Put the right needle into the next 3 sts. Purl like usual, except do not finish the knit, instead allow the stitches to remain on the left needle.
2. Bring the yarn forward between the 2 needles.
3. Put the right needle back into the same 3 st. Purl, and this time, finish the stitch by dropping the 3 sts from the left needle.
Cast on a multiple of 4 sts, plus 1.
Row 1 (RS): Knit.
Row 2 (WS): K1, *(P3tog, Yo, P3tog) into the same 3 sts, K1; rep from * to end.
Row 3: Knit.
Row 4: K1, P1, K1, *(P3tog, Yo, P3tog) into the same 3 sts, k1; rep from * to last 2 sts, P1, K1.
Rep Rows 1-4.
