Herringbone Twist Pattern

Herringbone stitch makes a very attractive fabric. It does tend to pull together, so be sure to go up a needle size or two.  
Looks good made with this robust chunky and self-striping yarn.
Pattern
Cast on an even number of sts.
Row 1 (RS): *Slip slip knit, dropping only the first stitch off your needle, the second stitch should remain on left needle; rep from * to last st, Knit 1.
Row 2 (WS): *Purl 2 together, dropping only the first stitch off your needle; rep from * to last st, Purl 1.
Repeat Rows 1-2.
