How to knit
3/3 Left Cross: Slip 3 sts to cable needle and hold in front, knit 3, then knit 3 from cable needle
3/3 Right Cross: Slip 3 sts to cable needle and hold in back, knit 3, then knit 3 from cable needle

Pattern
Cast on a multiple of 12 sts, plus 2.
Row 1 (RS): Knit.
Row 2 and all WS rows: Purl.
Row 3: Knit 1, * 3/3 Left Cross, Knit 6; rep from * to last st, Knt 1.
Row 5: Knit.
Row 7: Knit 1, * Knit 6, 3/3 Right Cross; rep from * to last st, Knit 1.
Rep Rows 1-8.
